RESOLUTION NO. 01 -4029
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY INSTITUTING A UNIQUE SKILL BONUS
PROGRAM, ESTABLISHING THE AMOUNT OF SAID BONUS,
AND APPROVING A LIST OF QUALIFYING SKILLS
WHEREAS, the City Manager has proposed the establishment of a Unique Skill Bonus
Program to reward employees for possession or pursuit of unique skills which will increase their
effectiveness in delivering City services; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that implementation of such a program is
beneficial for improving efficiency and rewarding motivated and dedicated employees.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. A Unique Skill Bonus Program is hereby established; and,
SECTION 2. The employee classifications and respective unique skills which qualify
for the Unique Skill Bonus Program, as outlined on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, are hereby
adopted; and,
SECTION 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to implement a Unique Skill
Bonus Program, including the payment of said bonus to eligible employees, effective July 1,
2001; and
SECTION 4. The City Manager is hereby authorized to develop administrative
regulations to implement said Program; and,
SECTION 5. The City Council may, from time to time, adopt a resolution changing the
terms of the Unique Skill Bonus Program.
SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption o this resolution.

I, City Clerk of the City of Temple City, do hereby certify that Resolution No. 01 -4029 was
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Temple City held on the 19th day of
June, 2001. It was duly passed, approved and adopted by said Council, approved and signed by
the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk at a regular meeting held on the 19th day of June, 2001
by the following vote:
AYES: Councilman - Souder, Zovak, Gillanders, Wilson
NOES: Councilman - Vizcarra
ABSENT: Councilman -None

The rate of the Unique Skill Bonus is 4% of salary rate. The implementation of the
Unique Skill Bonus Program is subject to the Personnel Rules and Regulations and
available and continued funding as determined in the sole discretion of the City
Council.
