RESOLUTION NO. 01 -4034
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY IMPOSING PARKING RESTRICTIONS ALONG
THE 9400 BLOCK OF EAST EMPEROR AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City recently received parking and unlawful activity
complaints from residents in the 9400 block of east Emperor Avenue; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City recently received a request for parking assistance in
the 9400 block of east Emperor Avenue from the Temple City Unified School District; and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended the imposition of parking restrictions in
the 9400 block of east Emperor Avenue to bring relief to residents, to bring accountability to
available parking space and to resolve school district parking problems thus benefiting public
access to public schools.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. A limitation of parking by permit only along the curbs for the 9400 block
of east Emperor Avenue so signed is hereby approved; and,
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to erect signage or other
appropriate markings and issue permits for curb parking for the 9400 block of east
Emperor Avenue; and,
SECTION 3. Those parking spaces designated "PERMIT PARKING ONLY" by the City
Manager shall be available for exclusive use of those issued an appropriate permit by the
City Manager; and,
SECTION 4. Violation of the parking restrictions imposed by this Resolution shall subject
violators to the sanctions provided in applicable Federal, State, and Local law and the
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, or any other authorized law enforcement
personnel, are hereby authorized to issue citations or take other action to enforce this
Resolution.

I, City Clerk of the City of Temple City, do hereby certify that Resolution No. 01 -4034 was
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Temple City held on the 17th day of
July, 2001. It was duly passed, approved and adopted by said Council by the following vote:
AYES: Councilman - Souder, Vizcarra, Zovak, Gillanders, Wilson
NOES: Councilman -None
