RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE SUBMITTAL OF A GRANT APPLICATION FOR
FUNDING THROUGH THE IOWA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY— RURAL
ENRICHMENT GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Marcus, Iowa is desirous of applying to the Iowa Economic
Development Authority for the Rural Enrichment Grant Program for the Marcus
Trail Plan — Phase 1.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marcus Trail Committee is
authorized to submit a grant application to the Iowa Economic Development
Authority through SIMPCO.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Marcus demonstrates its support for
the submittal of the Rural Enrichment Grant Program application to the Iowa
Economic Development Authority for Marcus Trail Plan — Phase 1. The City
further agrees to adequately maintain the completed project for its intended
public use for a minimum of twenty (20) years following the project completion
and the City is committed to contributing 1:1/2 matching funds.
This Resolution shall be effective following its adoption by the City Council.
