HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance - 76-01 - 19760707 - Creating New WardsORDINANCE NO. 76-1 ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL PARK DISTRICT CREATING NEW WARDS OR SUBDISTRICTS FOLLOWING ANNEXA- TION OF PORTION OF SAN MATEO COUNTY TO THE MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL PARK DISTRICT WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has informally indicated that in the event the citizens' effort to annex portions of south San Mateo County to the Midpeninsula Regional Park District was successful there would be created, pursuant to Public Resources Code Section 5534.5, two new subdistricts or wards, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula Regional Park District as follows: Section One: Pursuant to Public Resources Code Section 5536 there are hereby established two new subdistricts or wards whose boundaries shall be as described on Exhibit A affixed hereto and made a part hereof, making a total of seven subdistricts or wards in the Midpeninsula Regional Park District. District Clerk EXHIBIT A MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL PARK DISTRICT PROPOSED WARD BOUNDARIES, SAN MATEO COUNTY TERRITORY WARD NO. 6 Beginning at the point on the boundary of the Midpeninsula Regional Park District common to the boundaries of the City of Redwood City and the City of Menlo Park said point being the point where the 1st Standard Parallel South intersects the common boundary of the counties of San Mateo and Alameda; thence generally westerly and southerly along the boundary of the City of Redwood City various courses and distances to the junction of said city boundary with the boundary of the Town of Woodside at a point on the center line of the Alameda de las Pulgas; thence generally southerly along the boundary of the Town of Woodside various courses and distances to the easterly right of way line of Whiskey Hill Road; thence due west to the center line of said road; thence southeasterly along said center line to the point where the boundary of the Portola Valley Elementary School District departs, from said center line in a southwesterly direction; thence along the boundary of the Portola Valley School District generally southwesterly various courses and distances to the southeast corner of the southwest one quarter of Section 27 T.6.S., R.4.W. said point being on the boundary of the Midpeninsula Regional Park District; thence along the boundary of the Midpeninsula Regional Park District generally southeasterly various courses and distances to its junction with the common boundary of the counties of San Mateo and Santa Clara; thence following said common boundary various courses and distances northeasterly to its junction with the common boundary of the counties of San Mateo and Alameda; thence following the common boundary of the counties of San Mateo and Alameda northwesterly to the point of beginning.
