A SPECIAL ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF A GRANT APPLICATIONTO THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION
WHEREAS, the Indiana Department of Transportation has grant funding available to assist with capital and operating expenses for public transportation; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to apply for such grant funding in order to assist with capital and operating expenses for Roseview
Transit/Paratransit during the calendar year 2001.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
The City of Richmond is authorized to apply to the Indiana Department of Transportation for grant funding in the total amount of $826,366.00 to assist with capital and operating expenses
for Roseview Transit/Paratransit for the year 2001.
The City of Richmond, Indiana is authorized to request $640,066.00 for operating expenses and $186,300.00 for capital expenses for the calendar year 2001, totaling the $826,366.00 referenced
in paragraph number one (1) herein.
Said funding, if received, shall be appropriated for the uses set forth herein.
Passed and adopted this 7th day of August, 2000, by the Common Council for the City of Richmond, Indiana.
