Resolution Accepting Quit Claim Deed for Certain Real Estate to
be Dedicated as Locust Street
WHEREAS,the Trails Committee has recommended, and the Counsel has reviewed the
advisability of accepting a Quit claim Deed from Marcus Lumber Company, an Iowa
Corporation concerning an outlot which serves as the primary driveway for certain
residents and is ideal for the public trail immediately south of Locust Street;
WHEREAS,the City has determined that a fair market value for the purchase of the
premises is $1.00 and has commissioned the acquisition plat therefor;
WHEREAS, a resolution by the City Council is required in order for the City of Marcus,
Iowa to accept the Quit claim Deed.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Marcus, Iowa,
hereby accepts for the value of$1.00 the Quit claim Deed to the premises described as
follows:
Parcel"L13-A"as shown in the Acquisition Plat recorded on August 9,2023
as Instrument No. 2023-1296 in the Office of the Recorder for Cherokee
County,Iowa.
