I IEREI`011 , it is mutually ,tuned: I. The District will make the school library in-iiftin available to City of Tiffin residents for the pur3iose ora shared publie.libraty. 2. The City\\ill determine the amount of annual Contribution to the library and notify the district prior to April first ol'earh year, The City t\ill remit its annual contribution to the District prior to June I ofeach year. If the full amount of city funds are not available prior to,lune first,the city will remit an amount sufficient to c•1114ur4 that the public library fund has a positive balance prior to June 30111 ofeach year,The Board of Education will deposit these funds into the Springmier Library account and use the funding to maintain library services for the City ofTiftin. Any funds remaining at the end of each fiscal year will be carried over to thelnext fiscal year's Springmier Library account, ?. Library Trustees(4ibrnry Board)\a ill consist of three(3) members appointed by the City,one City ct,uncil me ether, three members appointed by the District (parent, teacher.community member), one school board member,the librarian and the building principal. 0110 of these members must reside in rural Johnson C'ounl�. 4. The public library director is responsible for mak ingarecommendation tohire xtaff(ill con,junetionwill) the library board and school administration),01'der616 and processing materials and recommending policies to the Library Board. h. The District N%ill pTvide cleaning fur the library. 7. The City will actikely Seek support for the public library program in the ti.wrm ofgrants or appropriations. S. The Library\%ill actively seek and support Johnson County Board of Supervisors for appropriations for library services and grants and appropriations from the State of Iowa. 9. The Springmier Library will adopt the same policies as the school library whenever possible. 10. The Springmier Library will be open a minimum of twenty(20)hours per week. Hours will be determined with the school district's priorities in mind. 11. Whenever school is canceled due to inclement weather,the Springmier Library will also be closed. 12.The Library Board will meet a total of LO times ayear.
