RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION
WHEREAS, Columbus School was recently recognized by' chool Matters"
which is a service of Standard and Poor's, as one of the thirt -four (34) New
Jersey schools to have considerably narrowed the achievem nt gap between
student groups; and
WHEREAS, part of this recognized achievement consisted of di Jinishing the gap
between students of various demographic and ethnic group in the school,
including Special Education and Limited English Proficient (LE ) students; and
WHEREAS, Columbus School met an Annual Yearly Prog essive Indicators
(A YP) in an areas which were prescribed by the Federal Govern ent; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor a d Council of the
Borough of Carteret are indeed proud to congratulate the olumbus School
students and staff on their hard work and accomplishments;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolutio be forwarded to
Columbus School in recognition of a job wen done.
