APPROVING CHANGE ORDER
FOR THE ROOSEVELT AVENUE STREETSC
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the Borough of Ca eret has previously
awarded a contract to S. Brothers, Inc. for the Roosevelt Avenue Streetscape
Project; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer for the pr ject has advised the
Governing Body that a modification of the contract is reas nable and necessary
and has recommended that the aforesaid contract be modifi in accordance with
Contract Change Order #1 (see attached); and
WHEREAS, Change Order #1 results in a net increas
$99,856.00 in the contract price, including al1 previously ap
and
in the amount of
roved change orders;
WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer has ad ised that the above
described changes and/or modifications to the project were nforeseen at the time
of the award of the original contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the May r and Council of the
Borough of Carteret as fol1ows:
1. That the above-described Contract Change Order #1, a copy of
which is attached hereto and made a part heleof, resulting in a net
increase in the contract price in the amoun of $99,856.00 for a
total contract price of $2,360,790.00 is hereb approved.
2.
That the appropriate Borough Officials are
execute Contract Change Order #1
recommendation of the Borough's Consultin
hereby authorized to
based upon the
Engineer.
3. That the Borough Purchasing Department i hereby authorized to
issue payment pursuant to the above describe change order.
