RESOLUTION NO. 02 -4077
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY IMPOSING PARKING RESTRICTIONS ALONG
THE EASTSIDE OF CLOVERLY AVENUE AND THE
SOUTSIDE OF BROADWAY NEAR 5476 CLOVERLY AVENUE
(CLOVERLY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL)
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City received parking and traffic violation complaints from
residents, school faculty and the Sheriff's Department in the area near Cloverly Elementary
School at 5476 Cloverly Avenue; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City received a request for parking and congestion
assistance in the area near Cloverly Elementary School at 5476 Cloverly Avenue from the
Cloverly Elementary School Principal and the Sheriff's Department's School Resource Deputy;
and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended the imposition of parking restrictions in
the area near Cloverly Elementary School at 5476 Cloverly Avenue to bring relief to residents, to
resolve school parking and safety problems thus benefiting access to schools and residences.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. A limitation of parking for loading and unloading during school days and
school hours along the east curb of Cloverly Avenue and the south curb of Broadway without
placing traffic cones in the roadway and designating one disabled person parking space along the
east curb of Cloverly Avenue near 5476 Cloverly Avenue so signed is hereby approved; and,
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to erect signage or other
appropriate markings for curb parking on the eastside of Cloverly Avenue and the southside of
Broadway near 5476 Cloverly Avenue; and,
SECTION 3. Violation of the parking restrictions imposed by this Resolution shall subject
violators to the sanctions provided in applicable Federal, State, and Local law and the Los
Angeles County Sheriff's Department, or any other authorized law enforcement personnel, are
hereby authorized to issue citations or take other action to enforce this Resolution.
