SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The intent of the establishment of revised and new fees is to compensate for the cost of staff time associated
with the negotiation, review, and approval process for land use applications, building permits and GIS
products and services. Staff has reviewed all the land use related fees and adjusted fees and added fees to
ensure fees will cover current staff time.
The Resolution combines the Department’s fee schedules to include planning, building and GIS that were
adopted as separate resolutions in the past. The City Engineer fees were increased from $65/hr to $75/hr
and the custom mapping was increased from $45/hr to $55/hr. The new fees include a fence permit, demo
permit, fireplace permit, zoning map, street map, and outdoor recreation map.
The City Attorney has reviewed the attached Resolution.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
1. Hold the public hearing.
2. Approve Resolution 18-06 adopting Community and Economic Development related fees changes and
authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
