HomeMy Public PortalAbout2410-1969 - Appropriation - From several different accounts to streets, alleys, curbs & sidewalks.f ORDINANCE NO. 2410-1969 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY BUDGET THE SUM OF ELEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($11,535.00) FROM WH S-3 (1-11-113) SALARY FOR INVENTORY CLERK, "SERVIC15 PERSONAL"; "WH S-7 (2-21-212) POSTAGE; SERVICES CONTRACTUAL"; WH S-10 (2-22-221) ELECTRIC CURRENT,"SERVICES CONTRACTUAL", WH S-13 (2-25-251) REPAIR OF BLDG. & STRUCTURES, "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL"; WH S-14 (2-25-252) REPAIR OF EQUIPMENT, "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL"; WH S-18 (3-31-311) COAL & FUEL OIL, "SUPPLIES"; WH S-19 (3-32-321) GASOLINE & DIESEL FUEL, "SUPPLIES"; WH S-21 (3-32-323) TIRES & TUBES, "SUPPLIES"; WH S-23 (3-33-332) MEDICAL, SURGICAL & DENTAL, "SUPPLIES"; WH S-27 (3-37) OTHER SUPPLIES, "SUPPLIES"; TO WH S-2S (4-42-426) STREETS, ALLEYS, CURBS & SIDEWALKS, "MATERIALS". WHEREAS, a request has been made by the Motor Vehicle Highway Department of Richmond, Indiana, to transfer the sum of ($11,535.00) from WH S-3 (1-11-113) Salary for Inventory Clerk, "Service Personal"; WH S-7 (2-21-212) Postage, "Services Contractual"; WH 5-10 (2-22®221) Electric Current, "Services Contractual"; WH S-13 (2-25-251) Repair of Bldg. & Structures, "Services Contractual"; WH S-14 (2-25-252) Repair of Equipment, "Services Contractual"; WH S-18 (3-31-311) Coal & Fuel Oil, "Supplies"; WH S-19 (3-32-321) Gasoline & Diesel Fuel, "Supplies"; WH S-21 (3-32-323) Tires & Tubes, "Supplies"; WH S-23 (3-33-332) Medical, Surgical & Dnntal, "Supplies"; WH S-27 (3-37) Other Supplies, "Supplies"; to WH S-2S (4-42-426) Streets; Alleys, Curbs & Sidewalks, "Materials". WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana after careful study and consideration on the 26th of June, 196S, approved that an ordinance be prepared for Common Council°s consideration to make the above transfer of funds, and WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate mor money for the various functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana. SECTION 1. That for the expenses of -the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 196E the following money is hereby appropri- ated and set apart out of the fund named for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. Such amount appropriated small be held to include all expenditures authorized to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law. SECTION 2. That for the fiscal period there is hereby appropriated from the Motor Vehicle Highway Ctsh Operating to meet the extraordinary emergency declared to exist. Reauested Amount WH S-29 (4-42-426) Streets, Alleys, Curbs $ 11,535.00 & Sidewalks, "Materials" SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have unobligated balances which will not be used for the purpose appro- priated. IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indi.- ana, that such unnecessary existing appropriations be now reduced in amount as follows# and the same is appropriated to the above named item. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations.
