SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Arbor Day is celebrated nationally on the last Friday of April; however, we have the flexibility to designate
whichever day we prefer to celebrate it as a community. This year we will partner again with Franz Witte
Nursery and hold the official Arbor Day Celebration on Saturday, April 28 in the nursery. The event will
consist of a celebration of trees with guest speakers covering topics on Urban Forestry & Management,
Nursery & Landscaping, and Natural Resource and Forest Management.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Proclaim April 28, 2018 as Arbor Day in the City of McCall and authorize the Mayor to sign the
proclamation.
