HomeMy Public PortalAboutAB 18-106 CLG Grant Contract for Pioneer HangarMcCALL CITY COUNCIL 216 East Park Street AGENDA BILL McCall, Idaho 83638 Number AB 18-106 Meeting Date April 26, 2018 AGENDA ITEM INFORMATION  SUBJECT: Request for approval of the CLG Grant Contract which provides $3000 for National Register nomination of the Pioneer Hangar at the McCall Municipal Airport Department Approvals Initials Originator or Supporter   Mayor / Council     City Manager /    Clerk     Treasurer     Community Development     Police Department     Public Works     Golf Course    COST IMPACT: $3000 Parks and Recreation    FUNDING SOURCE: Certified Local Government grant program-State Historic Preservation Office Airport      Library    TIMELINE: ASAP Information Systems      Grants / ED Planner  Originator  SUMMARY STATEMENT: At the request of the McCall Historic Preservation Commission, on December 14, ,2017, Council approved submission of a a Certified Local Government Grant application requesting funding to help hire an architectural historian who would prepare a nomination of the Pioneer Hangar to the National Register of Historic Places. Notification of grant award in the amount of $3000 has been received and a contract outlining the roles and responsiblities of the grant award has been forwarded from the Idaho State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) signature. The grant contract stipulates the following: The project shall be completed by May, 2019, or an extension approved. Draft of the National Registrar Nomination shall be submitted to SHPO for review by January 31, 2019, or an extension approved. Grant funds will be matched 1:1 with cash or in-kind contributions. Match has been identified from the ownwer of the Pioneer Hangar ($1000), $500 allocated from the Historic Perservation Commission FY18 budget, and in-kind City staff time and HPC volunteer time. Procurement practices in accordance with Title 2 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section A, Subtitle I, “Standards for Financial and Program Management,” shall be followed. The National Registrar Nomination shall be prepared in accordance with SHPO’s Preparing National Register Nominations in Idaho manual.  RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve the CLG Grant Contract and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
