ESTABLISHING ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN STANDARDS FOR MUNICIPAL
STREETSCAPES
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has implemented ex ensive streetscape
Improvements along the Borough's local streets and roadways in an ffort to beautify the
community and enhance pedestrian areas and walkways; and
WHEREAS, the Borough is desirous of insuring that the integrih of said streetscape
Improvements is maintained and the public investment in the same is lereby preserved.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Cmncil of the Borough
of Carteret that any individuals and/or entities that engage in any onstruction activity
that impacts and/or disturbs the public streetscape improvemer s installed by the
Borough shall hereby be obligated to replace, and/or restore the sam in accordance with
plans and specifications previously approved by the Borough's DirEf;tor of Engineering,
and/or his/her designee.
