HomeMy Public PortalAboutAB 18-111 Police Department County Building Remodel Contract McCALL CITY COUNCIL 216 East Park Street AGENDA BILL McCall, Idaho 83638 Number AB 18-111 Meeting Date April 26, 2018 AGENDA ITEM INFORMATION  SUBJECT: Request to Reject the bid submitted by Falvey’s Construction LLC for the Police Department County Building Remodel Department Approvals Initials Originator or Supporter   Mayor / Council     City Manager /    Clerk     Treasurer     Community Development     Police Department / Originator   Public Works     Golf Course    COST IMPACT: $277,457.13 Parks and Recreation    FUNDING SOURCE: General Fund Airport      Library    TIMELINE: ASAP Information Systems      Grant Coordinator    SUMMARY STATEMENT: The McCall City Council approved the lease and subsequent remodel of the Valley County Juvenile Detention Center, located at 550 E Deinhard Lane, for use as the McCall Police Department on November 30, 2017.  The McCall Police Department utilized the Informal Bidding Process for the Request For Proposal (RFP) on the remodel.  RFP information was sent on March 29, 2018. The response deadline was April 16, 2018 at 3:00pm.  The McCall Police Department received one completed RFP packet.    Due to the bid coming in over $200,000 staff requests that the Council reject the bid submitted by Falvey’s Construction LLC. Staff will conduct a formal bidding process as outlined in Idaho Code § 67-2806(1).  RECOMMENDED ACTION: Reject the bid submitted by Falvey’s Construction LLC for the remodel of the Valley County Juvenile Detention Center for use as the McCall Police Department and the Mayor sign all required documents.
