SUMMARY STATEMENT:
McCall Winter Sports Club (MWSC) submitted an application for Local Option Tax (LOT) funding for the “project” U14 Speed Camp at the IMD meeting. LOT applications were due prior to the
finalizations of the sports schedules so MWSC applied based on their best assumption of which races they expected to host. In this case, they were selected to host the U12 Alpine Intermountain
Division Qualifying Race rather than the U14 Speed Camp. MWSC is requesting that their LOT funding be applied to the costs of hosting the U12 Alpine Intermountain Division Qualifying
Race in place of what they had originally intended the funds for which was the U14 Speed Camp. They are not requesting a change in amount of funding, just a reallocation of where the
funds are to be used.
The MWSC’s original LOT application along with their request to reallocate the funds is attached.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve McCall Winter Sports Club’s request to reallocate $2250 of LOT funds from the previously approved U14 Speed Camp to the race they were actually selected to host, the U12 Alpine
Intermountain Division Qualifying Race and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary documents.
