A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY EXTENDING
GENERAL PLAN (GPA 01 -1) AND EXTENDING CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS 01 -1473
TO ALLOW INTERIM (TEMPORARY) OFFICE TRAILERS AT 9700 LAS TUNAS DRIVE
(TCUSD)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. Based upon information contained in the staff report to the City Council and attached
background information, the City Council hereby re- approves the Negative Declaration and extends the
General Plan Amendment and Conditional Use Permit as approved on June 19, 2001.
SECTION 2. This project should not result in significant effects upon the environment, and a Negative
Declaration has been prepared in accordance with the State CEQA Guidelines. The initial statement as
prepared indicates there is no potential for adverse impact upon the environment as it relates to all wild
animals, birds, plants, fish, amphibians and related ecological communities, including the habitat upon
which the wildlife depends for its continued viability.
SECTION 3. The City's Land Use Map of the General Plan shall remain as amended to designate the
subject site as being "institutional ". Twelve months from this approval date, said General Plan land use
designation shall automatically revert back to "low- density residential ", unless further extended by the City
Council.
SECTION 4. The conditions of approval contained in Planning Commission Resolution No. 01- 1980PC
shall be in full force and effect, provided however, the interim trailers shall be removed within twelve
months of the previous expiration date; said interim trailers shall be removed from the site no later than
June 19, 2003, at which time the Conditional Use Permit shall lapse, unless extended by the City Council.
SECTION 5. Accordingly, General Plan Amendment 01 -1 and Conditional Use Permit 01 -1453 are
hereby extended for an additional period of time not to exceed twelve months to June 19, 2003.
