AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2325-1968 CO
KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHMON
INDIANA, ADOPTED DUNE 3, 1968.
BE IT ORDAINED by the. Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana as follows:
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, the Zoning Ordinance now permits the existence of small
animal hospitals in the C-4, General Business District,
which is under Article 33. Section 33. 003

SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to permit small aninial
hospitals under Article 31, C-2, Community Business
District.
SECT100. WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to prohibit small animal j
( hospitals in C-3, Central Business District.
SECTION 4. WHEREAS, this matter was considered by the Richmond City Ran
Commission whereby a public hearing was held on the 26th
day of August, 1969, at which time remonstrances were
heard from all parties interested inror affected by this
•: Ordinance.
5." WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Ran Commission was nine (9,
to zero (0) in favor of recommending the adoption of this
Ordinance.
6. It is hereby ordained that Article ,3I, C -2, Community Business
'.. of the Zoning Ordinance for the City of Richmond be a

7. It is further ordained that Article 32, C-3, Central Business District of
the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Richmond be amended by `
inserting after Section �2. 05 the following:

"32. 06 PROHIBITED USES Animal Hospital, ,Veterinary Clinic,
etc: Animal hospitals, kennels, display and housing or board-
ing of pets and other domestic animals, prov*that any en-,
closure or building in which animals are k'ept'shall be at least
one hundred (lW) feet from any R-District and at least fifty (50)
feet from any tither C-District. Exercise runs shall be enclosed
on four (4) sides ,by an unpierced well -maintained fence oralL✓'
at least six (6) feet in height. `
SECTION 8. This Ordinance shall be in full force and affect from and after its
passage and publication as by law required.
