AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000.Ct7)
FROM THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY BUDGET MH S-4 (1-11-114) PAYROLLS,
"SERVICES PERSONAL" TO MVH S-29 (4-42-426) STREETS, ALLEYS CURBS AND
SIDEWALKS, "MATERIALS".
WHEREAS, a request has been made by the Motor Vehicle Highway Departt,ent
of Richmond, Indiana, to transfer the sum of ten thousand dollars
from the Motor Vehicle Highway Budget MVH S-4 (1-11-114) Payrolls,
"Services Personal" to MVH S-29 (4-42-426) Streets, Alleys Curbs and
Sidewalks, "Materials", and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, after careful study and consideration on the 25th of September,
1969, approved that an ordinance be prepared for Common Council's consi&xZ;--
tion to make the above transfer of funds, and
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoptior:
of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropria t=
more money for the various functions of the City Government than was
appropriated in the annual budget,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of RictVnoric,
Indiana.
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its institut.cr�s
for the year ending December 31, 1969, the following money is hereby apprc
priated and set apart out of the fund named for the purpose apecifiad. Soid
sum being subject to all laws governing the same. Such amount approoriatEcd
shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to be made during_ thi-
year, unless expressly stipulated by law.
SECTION 2. That for the fiscal period there is hereby appropriated from
the Motor Vehicle Highway Budget to meet the extraordinary emergency de-
clared to exist.

SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations
now have unobligat-d balances which will not be used for the purpose appro-
priated.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that such unnecessary existing appropriations be now reduced in
amount as follows: and the same is appropriated to the above named
REQUESTED REDUCTION

SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation,
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and aft:ar
its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the
State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations.
