ORDINANCE NO. 2433-196
AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT BUDGET THE SUM OF
FOURTEEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($14,200.00) FROM M--1 (1-11-111)
PAYROLL, "SERVICES PERSONAL" TO M-9 (2-25-252) REPAIR OF EQUIPMENT, "SER-
VICES CONTRACTUAL"; M-10 (2-26-261) ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSE, "SERVICES
CONTRACTUAL"; 1-24 (7-71-711) BLDG. & FIXED EQUIPMENT, "PROPERTIES";
AND 19-25 (7-72-721) FURNITURE & FIXTURES, "PROPERTIES".
WHEREAS, a request has been made by the Fire Department of Richmond,
Indiana, to transfer the sum of $14,200.00 from M-1 (1-11-111) Payroll,
"Services Personal" to M-9 (2-25-252) Repair of Equipment, "Services
Contractual"; M-10 (2-26-261) Administrative Expense, "Services Con-
tractual"; M-24 (7-71-711) Bldg. & Fixed Equipment, "Properties" and
U-25 (7-72-721) Furniture & Fixtures, "Properties", and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, after careful study and consideration approved that an ordinance
be prepared for Common Councils consideration to make the above transfer
of funds, and
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the
adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to
appropriate more money for the various functions -of the City Government
than was appropriated in the annual budget.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana.
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its institu-
tions for the year ending December 31, 1969, the following money is hereby
appropriated and set apart out of the fund named for the purpose specified.
Said am being subject to all laws governing the same. Such amount appro-
priated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to be made
during the year, unless expressly stipulated by lase.
SECTION 2. That for the fiscal period there is hereby appropriated from
the Fire Department Budget to meet the extraordinary emergency declared
to exist.

SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations
now have unobligated balances which will not be used for the purpose
appropriated.
IT IS'THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that such unnecessary existing appropriations be now reduced in
amount as follows: and the same is appropriated to be above named item.

SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its pa&sage and approval of the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the
State,of. Indiana governing emergency appropriations.
