AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE WEIGHTS AND MEASURES DEPARTMENT
BUDGET THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($175.00) FROM
GENERAL K-7 (3-32-323) TIRES & TUBES, "SUPPLIES"; GENERAL K-8 (3-32-324)
GARAGE & MOTOR SUPPLIES, "SUPPLIES"; GENERAL K-9 (3-36-361) OFFICIAL
RECORDS, "SUPPLIES", TO GENERAL K-3 (2-21-213) TRAVELING EXPENSE,
"SERVICES CONTRACTUAL".
WHEREAS, a request has been made by the Weights & Measures Department
of Richmond, Indiana, to transfer the sum of $175.00 from General K-7
(3-32-323) Tires & Tubes, "Supplies"; General K-8 (3-32-324) Garage
Motor Supplies, "Supplies"; General K-9 (3-36-361) Official Records,;
"Supplies", to General K-3 (2-21-213) Traveling Expense, "Services
Contractual", and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, after careful study and consideration approved that an ordinance
be prepared for Common Council°s consideration to make the above transfer
of funds,'and
WHEREAS, `certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adop-
tiorf,iif tine existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appro-
priate -more money for the various functions of the City Government then
was appropriated in the annual budget.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana.
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its insti-
tutions for the year ending December 31, 1969 the following money is
hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named for the purpose
specified. Said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. Such
amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized
to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law.
SECTION 2. That for the fiscal period there is hereby appropriated from
the We3:ght3 and Measures Budget to meet the extraordinary emergency
declared to exist.

General K-3 (2-21-213) Traveling Expense, $ 175.00

SECTiON`3. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropria-
tions now have unobligated balances which will not be used for the
purpose appropriated.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that such unnecessary existing appropriations be now reduced
in amount as follows: and the same is appropriated to the above named item.

General K-8 (3-32-324) Garage & Motor Supplies, $ 75.00

SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
