ORDINANCE NO. 2438-1969
AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF $9,40040 from the Cumulative
Capital Improvement Fund for Services Contractual, Northwest 5th
Street and Industrial Area Survey.
WHEREAS, Declaratory Resolution No. 6-1968 resolved that the.City employ
professional engineering services in preparing a feasibility study relative
to the movement of traffic in -the northwest 5th Street and northwest
Industrial area.
WHEREAS, said resolution further authorized the Board of Public Works &
Safety to execute a contract for said services, and to pay therefore from
the Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund.
WHERPM, said services have been rendered by the Consulting Engineers.
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since.the
adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to
appropriate more money for the various functions of the City Goverment
then was appropriated in the annual budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COMIL OF THE CITY OF
RICHMDND, INDIANA:
SECTION 1. That for the expense of the city government and its institu-
t1ofts:'f6r the year ending December 31, 1969, the following amount of money
is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the Cumulative Capital
Improvement Fund for Services Contractual, to pay for the Northwest 5th
Street avid Industrial Area Survey, contracted with Steeg & Associates of
Indianapolis. Approval for this study was made by Richmond Common
Council on 9/3/68 by Declaratory Resolution No. 6-1968. Said sum being
subject to all, laws governing the same and such amount appropriated shall
be held to include all expenditures authorized to be made during the year,
unless ,expressly stipulated by law.
SBC'i'ION 2. That for the said fiscal period, there is hereby appropriated

to pay for Northwest 5th Street and Industrial Area Survey, contracted with
Steep & Associates of Indianapolis.
