AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF $84,000.00 FROM THE LOCAL ROAD &
STREET FUND FOR SERVICES CONTRACTUAL FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF NORTH & SOUTH
"A" STREETS AROUND THE RICHMOND CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, PHASES I, II,
IIIA, FOR PROJECT NO. R & S #1, APPROVED BY THE ARTERIAL ROAD & STREET
BOARD OF THE STATE OF INDIANA* ON 9/4/69.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 392, of the Acts of 1969, a Local Road &
Street Fund was established for the purpose of constructing and recon-
structing arterial roads within Cities and Towns.
WHEREAS, the Arterial Road and Street Board of the State of Indiana has
approved the sum of $84,000.00 for said reconstruction of North & South
"A" Streets.
WHEREAS, there is a need for these funds to do all those things necessary
for the said reconstruction of North and South "A" Streets.
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the
adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to
appropriate more money for the various functions of the City Government
than was appropriated in the annual budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COYMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RICHMOND, INDIANAt
SBMON 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its insti-
tutions for the year ending December 31, 1969, the following amount of
money`1s hereby appropriated and set apart out of the Local Road
and:St= Fund for said reconstruction of North & South "A" Streats.
Said.sum being subject to all laws governing the same and such amount
appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to be
made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law.
SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period, there is hereby appropriated
fro(rt t ._Local Road and Street Fundu,_ ® the following specified
amount` -for said reconstruction of North & South "A" Streets.

SECTION 1. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after

of Xodiana, governirig,emergency 8ppropriations.
