Home My Public Portal Aboutr 06:319 2l\£5ülutiün üf t1p~ Ißürüu£l¡ üf QIurt£r t, ~~ ]~ No 06-319_ Date 01 Ad pilon December~ 2006 RI£SOLUTION AUTHORIZING BEACON PLANNING AND CO SULTING SERVICES TO PREPARI£ AND SOLlCT A REQUEST FOR QUAL FICATlONS (RFQ) FOR THE WEST CARTERET lYIINUE STREET RE AIL REDEVELOPMENT AREA, INCLUDING PHASE II THERETO, AND THE FEDERAL BOULEVARD REDEVELOPMENT AREA (PHAS I & II) WHI£REAS, the Borough of Carteret (the "Borough") has a opted fom1al redevelopment plans for the West Carteret Minue Street Retail Rede elopment Area (WCMSRRA), and for a Phase II thereto, and for the Federal Boulevard edevelopment Area (FBRA) (Phases I and II); and 'YHEREAS, the Borough desires to select a qualified redeveloper or implement various redevelopment projeet(s) within the aforementione redevelopment areas, pursuant the above·described Redevelopment Plans, in ad ition to such redeveloper(s) and project(s) previously so selected, designated at dlor approved, including, but not limited to, a qualified redeveloper(s) for the foll ing combined propeliies whose redevelopment is governed by the WCMSRRA TI Red velopment Plan and the FBRA Redevelopment Plan (Phases J & II) Block 49.01, Lots 4,9and II; Block 49.02, Lot 2; and Block 49.0., Lot 1. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Counci of the Borough of Carteret that Beacon Plalming and Consnlting Services, is herehy ant rized to prepare and solicit a Request for Qualifications ,(Ig'Q) for a potential redevelop res) to undertake the redevelopment of the WCMSRRA, and Phase II thereto, and/or the FBRA (Phases I & II, or any portiones) or combination(s) thereof, in addition to such r developer(s) and project(s) previously so selected, designated and/or approved, as directe by the Mayor in consultation with the Borough's Professional Redevelopment profession Is. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVI£D that Beacon Planning shall reimbursable budget for the incident costs, including printing and associated with the preparation and solicitation of the above described to a costs, ßI£ IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Borough's purchasing Department and to Beacon Plam1ing. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said authorization for Beacon Planning is being awarded as a professional services contract award.
