AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1796-1960, AN
ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING RULES FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF THE
COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
WHEREAS, Paragraph F. RULE II, subparagraph I., provides

"The Clerk shall keep each class of ordinances in
d.:stinct files, according to the number of their -reading,
and shall give each ordinance of each class a distinct
n1:,tber in the order of its introduction, and shall place
such files on the Clerk's desk at the opening of each
mae.ting. However, no ordinance shall be presented to
the City Clerk not later than 11:30 o'clock on the Friday

WHEREAS, the filing not later than 11:30 o'clock on
Friday preceding Council meeting does not provide the
C"jerk's Office adequate time to prepare an agenda and
pF•epare and distribute such material to Councilmen.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA:
SECTION 1. That said Paragraph F., RULE II, subparagraph
1. be amended to read as follow :
"The Clerk shall keep each class of ordinances in
distinct files, according to the number of their reading,
and shall give each ordinance of each class a distinct
number in the order of its introduction, and shall place
such files on the Clerk's desk at the opening of each

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval by the
Mt-,yor of the City of Richmond, . ndiana.
PASSED by the Comn n Council of the City of Richmond,
