AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE WITHIN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT BUDGET THE
SUM OF TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,300.00) FROM M-1
0-11-111) PAYROLL, "SERVICES PERSONAL" TO M-6 (2-25-251) REPAIR OF
BUILDING & STRUCTURE, "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL".
WHEREAS, a request has been made by the Fire Department of Richmond,
Indiana, to transfer the sum of $2,300.00 from M-1 (1-11-111)
Payroll, "Services Personal" to M-8 (2-25-251) Repair of Building &
Structure, "Services Contractual", and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, after careful study and consideration approved that an
ordinance be prepared for Common Council°s consideration to make the
above transfer of °-funds, and
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the
adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary
to appropriate more money for the various functions of the City
Government than was appropriated in the annual budget.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana.
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its
Institutions for the year ending December 31, 1969, the following
money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named
for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws
governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to
Include all expenditures authorized to be made during the year,
unless expressly stipulated by law.
SECTION 2. That for the fiscal period there is hereby appropriated
from the Fire Department Budget to meet the extraordinary emergency
declared to exist.

SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropri-
ations now have unobligated balances which will not be used for the
purpose appropriated.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that such unnecessary existing appropriations be now reduced
in amount as followss and the same is appropriated to the above named
Item.,

SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropria v_ors.
SECTION D. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval of the Mayor and is subject to the
laws pf the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations.
