Citizens asked questions as to an emergency plan and we do have an Emergency
Operations Committee. The question was asked who will collect. The County will. The
School District will probably be asking for a new school because of all the housing going
in at Lincoln. Getting revenue from the sewer district was discussed. We do not have a
franchise with the sewer district. The Mayor explained some of the ways we get a
franchise agreement.
The question was asked if it would be a one time thing. Council member Dave
Huntsman explained that we were allowed to do it one time and it would be on our tax
bill next year. Council member Brad Andersen explained that the people would have a
say also as to where the money would go. Council member Dave Huntsman mentioned
we are asking the Community of long term ideas to work on.
