WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret ("Borough") prevwus]y authorized thc preparatIon of bId
specifications and contTact documents and advertisement for receipt of bids for the John Street
Park/SynthetIc Turf Soccer Field ProJect; aod
\VHEREAS, the Borough has previously recclvcd bids for said proJect; and
WHEREAS, LandTek, 235 Country Line Rd., Amityville, N.Y. 11701, submitted the lowest
bid for desired contract work as evidence by the response on file with the Borough's Purchasing
Department and Borough Engineer's Office as follows:

$713,735.00
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above referenced bId proposal(s) and has
recommended an award of a contract for the Base BId AND All. #1; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's Chief Financial Officer has ccrtificd that funds are or wil1 be
available for the award of a contract for said work.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret, County of Middlesex and State of New Jersey as fol1ows:
I. That the' Borough hcrcby awards the bid for thc John Street Park Project to
LandTek, in the amount of$713,735.00, for the option(s) indicated above.
2. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized and directed to enter
into a contract LandTek for said work, in accordance in all respects with the bit! ant!
contract documcnts for the same.
3. That a copy of this Reso1utwn shall be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasmg
Department, the Borough Engineer, and LandTek.
