CITY COUNCIL
MINUTES
ADJOURNED MEETING
November 8, 1975
INITIATION:
1. Mayor Gilbertson called the adjourned meeting of the City Council
to order at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 1975 in the North
Meeting Room of the City Hall.
2. ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmen- Dennis, Greenberg ,Merritt,Tyrell,Gilbertson
Absent: Councilmen -None
Also Present: City Manager Koski, Assistant City Manager Biel
The purpose of the meeting was to review and discuss several items per-
taining to City business.
3. CRA STATUS REPORT:
A. City Council received a financial status report relative to
expenditures and revenue on the pad and parking site of the Rose-
mead Boulevard Redevelopment Project area dated November 7, 1975.
B. City Council received a status report on the litigation
acquisition and general development of the Rosemead Boulevard
Redevelopment Porject area dated November 7, 1975.
4. MUNICIPAL BUDGET:
A. City Council received the Annual Financial Report for the
fiscal year ended June 30, 1975, made by an independent auditor.
Council also received the monthly statement of revenue and ex-
penditures as of October 31, 1975.
B. City Council received a status report on public works activ-
ities dated November 7, 1975.
5. PERSONNEL:
A. City Manager Koski presented a revised organization chart
effective November, 1975, the only change being the assignment of
the public works coordinating functions to the Assistant City
Manager.
B. There was a general discussion regarding pending vacancies on
various City commissions. Each Councilman will pursue the matter
of making recommendations for appointments to the Mayor.
C. A City Officials Recognition Dinner will be held, as in the
past, at the T & J Restaurant,8526 Valley Boulevard, Rosemead,
December 10, 1975 following the same format.
6. THETA CABLE TELEVISION STATUS REPORT
City Council received a staff report re: Theta Cable's present
status for construction of a cable television system in Temple
City dated November 7, 1975.
7. INSURANCE REVIEW:
City Council received a staff report on Health and Hospital
Insurance and Liability coverage dated November 7, 1975.
8. LOCAL TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
City Council received a staff report on intracity transportation
dated November 7, 1975.

9. LIVE OAK PARK DEVELOPMENT:
City Council reviewed staff report dated October 16, 1975
regarding modifications to the Live Oak Park development plans;
concurred with modifications 7 through 10.
10. COMMUNITY SEMINAR:
It was the consensus of the City Council that the Town Hall
Meeting held October 30, 1975 was a success and a community
type seminar should be conducted on a periodic basis.
11, AFTER HOURS CALLS:
City Council received staff report on automatic answering equip-
ment which would disseminate information pertaining to the City's
hours of business during non - business hours. Staff was directed
to prepare an update to the report to be presented to City Coun-
cil at a future date.
12. LIGHTING IN NORTH MEETING ROOM:
City Council received and filed a staff report for the replace-
ment of existing lighting and modification of the ceiling dated
November 7, 1975.
13. ADJOURNMENT:
The adjourned meeting of the City Council was adjourned at
10:00 a.m. Next meeting of the City Council will be held Tues-
day, November 18, 1975, 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the
City Hall.
