RESOLUTION NO. 02 -4120
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY AMENDING THE PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE
AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. RULE 13 — ATTENDANCE & LEAVES, Sec. 12 "Leave of Absence without Pay:" of
the Temple City Rules and Regulations is hereby amended to read as follows:
SFC 12 "Leave of Ahsenna Without Pay:" Leaves of absence without pay or seniority may be granted for
a period not to exceed 180 days only when the City Manager finds that such leave will be in the best interest
of the City. No such leave shall be granted except upon written request of the employee. The City Council,
upon request of the City Manager, may grant additional periods of leave.
Upon expiration of a regularly approved leave or within a reasonable period of time after notice to return to
duty, the employee shall be reinstated in the position held at the time the leave was granted. Failure on the
part of an employee on leave to report promptly at its expiration or within a reasonable time after notice to
return to duty, shall be just cause for discharge.
Employees on leave without pay of 30 days or more, but less than 180 days, may elect to pay the cost of
continuing medical coverage or discontinuing coverage for the leave period.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.

Council of the City of Temple City at a regular meeting held on the 17th day of September, 2002 by the
following vote:
