A RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR EQUIPMENT LOAN
FOR HEARTLAND AUTOMOTIVE, INC.
WHEREAS, notice was duly published in the Banner-Graphic on February 3,
^^' 1988, of the intention of the City of Greencastle to apply for a grant from
the Investment Incentive Program of the Small Cities Community Development
Block Grant to secure funds to make a low-interest equipment loan to Heartland
Automotive, Inc. in the amount of $100,000; and
WHEREAS, the said notice invited public comment on said project, as well
as past and present community development, and past and present community
housing needs; and,
WHEREAS, public comments were received at the hearing provided by said
notice at 7:30 p.m. on the 8th day of March, 1988; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Greencastle met in regular
session pursuant to legal notice on said date and, by motion unanimously
adopted to proceed with said application; and,
WHEREAS, Greencastle Development Center, Inc. , acting on behalf of the
City of Greencastle has submitted application for said grant and does now, as
the designated administrator of said grant, seek ratification of its action in
this regard.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle that the application for a grant in the sum of $100,000 in order
to make a low interest equipment purchase loan to Heartland Automotive, Inc.,
is hereby in all things ratified and approved and said administrator is
further authorized to execute such procedural documents and procurements as
may be necessary to secure and administer the grant.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle at
their regular meeting this 8th day of March, 1988.
