A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE' GREENCASTLE HIGH
SCHOOL, IT'S STUDENTS AND BASKETBALL TEAM PASSED BY THE COMMON
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE INDIANA ON THE ' 8TH DAY OF
MARCH, 1988.
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Basketball team is the 1988 Sectional Champion; and
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Basketball team has demonstrated that hard work and
teamwork can accomplish any goal; and
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Basketball team represents all citizens of Greencastle
and all citizens are indeed proud of the team, its coaches, the staff and student body
of Greencastle High School; and
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Basketball team will be representing Greencastle and
Putnam County in the Terre Haute Regionals; and
WHEREAS, coaches Doug Miller and Jeff Miller, team managers and players - Brad Van
fibber, Chad Remsburg, David Pettit, Jeff King, Brett Hecko, Chris Miller, Eric Twigg,
Pete Huber, Matt Bowen, Scott Rehlarxler, Kevin Barnett, Ron Sutherlin, and Nick York,
have represented Greencastle in an exemplary manner; and
WHEREAS, March 11, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. at McAnally Center, there will be a community
celebration for the basketball team and high school students, which all members of the
Common Council and other office holders and the public are encouraged to attend; and
NOW, THEREFORE, let it be resolved that the Greencastle Cannon Council for the
citizens of Greencastle, declare March 11, 1988 as Greencastle High School Appreciation
Day and encourage all citizens to attend the basketball game on March 12, 1988 at 11:00
a.m. at the Terre Haute Hulman Center.
