RESOLUTION NO. 02 -4126
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY AMENDING THE PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS
INCREASING THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF COMPENSATORY TIME
HOURS AN EMPLOYEE MAY ACCRUE TO CONFORM TO THE
FEDERAL FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE
AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. RULE 21 - SALARIES AND BENEFITS, Sec. 2 "Overtime," Subpart C, of the Temple
City Rules and Regulations is hereby amended to read as follows:

B. Employees who work more than 40 hours in a work period may take compensatory time off in lieu of
overtime compensation. Compensatory time off, like overtime, is earned at time and one half each
hour worked over 40 hours in a work period. The time when compensating time off may be taken
shall be at the discretion of the department manager giving due consideration to the needs of the
department and the wishes of the employee. Only employees eligible for overtime compensation
shall be eligible for compensatory time off.
C . Accumulation of compensatory time shall be limited to a maximum accumulation of 240 hours.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
