INDIANA 46135 �, (317) 653-9211 RESOLUTION 1988 - 19 A RESOLUTION THANKING THE CITIZENS OF GREENCASTLE FOR THEIR PARTICIPATION IN THE SPRING CLEAN-UP DAY APRIL 17TH THROUGH 23RD, 1988 WHEREAS, the Greencastle Civic League has for the last five years conducted and coordinated with the Greencastle community clean-up days. WHEREAS, Greencastle City Government would like to thank the Greencastle Civic League, Greencastle Elementary School. Students, IBM Retirees Club, Greencastle Rotary, City Employees, Greencastle Merchants Association, and most important, individual citizens who worked during April 17th through 23rd, 1988 to help make Greencastle a cleaner place to live. AND WHEREAS, the efforts of Greencastle Citizens demonstrated true caring and love for the City of Greencastle. THEREBY be it resolved that the Greencastle Common Council thanks all citizens for their efforts during clean-up days. Rokicki RESOLUTION NO. 1988-21 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBSTANTIAL MODIFICATION OF GRANT NO. ID 86-008 WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle, by and through its Citizens Advisory Commission on Industrial Development and its Common Council, received Grant No. ID-86-008 from the Industrial Development Infrastructure Program of the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $356,250 to be used for the purpose of extending sewer and water utilities to the site of Automotive Industries, Inc.; and WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle desires to apply for a substantial modification of Grant No. ID-86-008 increasing the total amount of the grant to $605,250. Twenty-five per cent (25%) of project funds, $201,750 will be provided by local match, including that subject to an inter-local agreement. The proceeds of the expanded Grant and Local matching funds are to be used for the purpose of providing road improvements and extending water utilities to serve the industrial expansion on the east side of the City of Greencastle; and WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Greencastle, by and through its Clerk-Treasurer, has caused a Notice of Public Hearing to be held at a regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of Greencastle, Indiana, which notice was duly published in the Greencastle Banner-Graphic on April 28, 1988, for the purpose of passing upon this Resolution authorizing the City, by and through its Citizens Advisory Commission on Industrial Development, to proceed with the substantial modification said grant; and WHEREAS, the Common Council having conducted its hearing at a special meeting as set forth in said Notice, held on the 10th day of May, 1988, at 7:30 o'clock, p.m. , at Jones Elementary School, 209 W. Liberty, Greencastle, Indiana; and WHEREAS, the Common Council having determined at the conclusion of such public hearing that the substantial modifica- `s1 tion of such Industrial Development Infrastructure Grant through the Industrial Development Infrastructure Program of the Small 1. Cities Community Development Block Grant would be in the best interests of the citizens of the City of Greencastle, Indiana. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the �.... City of Greencastle, Indiana, as follows: 1. That this Council authorizes the Citizens Advisory Commission on Industrial Development to apply on behalf of the City of Greencastle, Indiana, for substantial modification of Industrial Development Infrastructure Grant No. ID-86-008 from the Industrial Development Infrastructure Program of the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant increasing the grant amount to the sum of $605,250 to be used for the purpose of providing road improvements and extending water utilities to serve the industrial expansion on the east side of the City of Greencastle. 2. That this project will not result in any displacement of business or persons and therefore, no plan for displacement is necessary.
