A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A PETTY CASH FUND
FOR THE OFFICE OF CITY OF GREENCASTLE BUILDING COMMISSIONER

WHEREAS, I.C. 36-1-8-3 authorizes the establishment of a petty cash fund
for City offices; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council desires to establish a petty cash fund for
the City of Greencastle Building Commissioner;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle, Indiana, as follows:
1. A petty cash fund for the City of Greencastle Building Commissioner
is hereby established in the total sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00).
2. The Building Commissioner shall be the custodian of said petty cash
fund and shall use it to pay small or emergency items of operating expense.
3. A receipt shall be taken for each expenditure made from the petty
cash fund.
4. The Building Commissioner shall periodically file a voucher, with
all original receipts totaling the cash claimed expended being attached to it,
so that the petty cash fund can be reimbursed for expenditures from it.
Reimbursement must be approved and made in the same manner as required for
other expenditures of the City of Greencastle.
PASSED AND RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle this
10th day of May, 1988.
