A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A DELEGATION
FROM THE CITY OF GREENCASTLE TO THE
1988 MIDWEST U.S. - JAPAN ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE
WHEREAS, the 20th Anniversary Conference of the Midwest U.S.- Japan
w-••• Association and Japan - U.S. Midwest Association is to be held in Tokyo and
Osaka, Japan on September 11-15, 1988; and
WHEREAS, the Conference offers the opportunity for the City of
Greencastle to make contact with new industrial prospects as well as visit the
home offices of the companies from Japan which have already located within the
City; and
WHEREAS, the Citizen's Advisory Commission for Industrial Development has
approved the expenditure of an amount not to exceed $10,000.00 from the
Industrial Development Fund to assist in sending a delegation;
NOW THEREFORE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle, Indiana as follows:
1. That the following group be designated as the official delegation
from the City of Greencastle to the 1988 Midwest U.S. - Japan Association
Conference:
Michael M. Harmless, Mayor
An Interpreter
A Representative from Greencastle Development Center
2. That the expenditure of an amount not to exceed the sum of Ten
Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) from the Industrial Development Fund be
authorized to assist in funding attendance at the Conference by the Mayor and
the interpreter.
PASSED AND RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle at
its special meeting this 26th day of July, 1988.
