RESOLUTION NO. 1988-49
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE
OF INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDS FOR
LOCAL MATCH OF INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT
INFRASTRUCTURE GRANT FOR ROAD IMPROVEMENTS
SHENANDOAH INDUSTRIES, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle, by and through its
Citizens Advisory Commission on Industrial Development and its
Common Council, has applied for a Grant from the Industrial
Development Infrastructure Program of the Small Cities Community
Development Block Grant in the amount of $110,000 to be used for
the purpose of providing road improvements to the site of
Shenandoah Industries, Inc. ; and
WHEREAS, according to the terms of said Grant, twenty-five
percent (25%) of project funds must be provided by local match;
WHEREAS, the proceeds of the Grant and Local Matching Funds
are to be used for the purpose of providing road improvements to
serve the industrial expansion by Shenandoah Industries, Inc. on
the east side of the City of Greencastle; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the
City of Greencastle that an amount not to exceed Twenty Seven
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($27,500.00) be paid from the
Industrial Development Fund in order to provide part of the local
match for the Infrastracture Grant for Shenandoah Industries,
Inc.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle at a regular meeting this 13th day of December, 1988.
