MEETING: Economic Development Advisory Committee Regular Meeting

Committee: Toni Halgren, Craig Clark, Fernan DeLeon, Mayor Philip Vandernail,
Barry Young
Staff: Town Manager Jeff Durbin; Town Clerk Antoinette McVeigh

1. Regular Meeting: Roll Call
2. Approval of Agenda:
Young moved to approve the agenda, with the changes to the January 24, 2017 minutes
that was discussed Clark seconded the motion to approve the agenda. Motion carried
5-0.
3. Discussion:
Economic Development Policies and Programs
The committee will present the TB with the 20 year sales tax analyses pertaining to the
Town and Developer.
Young moved that the EDAC continue to recommend to the TB to stay with the original
suggested policy to for the sales tax incentive of 100% for the first five years and 50%
the sales tax incentive for the next five years DeLeon seconded the motion. Motion
carried 4-0, Vandernail abstained
DeLeon motioned to appoint Nick Swanson, Manager of Safeway, to the EDAC
committee and ask Dunham to step down Young seconded the motion. Motion
carried 4-0, Clark abstained
Clark moved to rescind the above motion to allow for more discussion Vandernail
seconded the motion. Motion carried 5-0
5. Other Business:
Action Items for next items that the EDAC will discuss
1. Implementation strategies to develop the downtown plan
2. Marijuana production, extraction and lounges

Clark moved, and Young seconded the motion to adjourn. Motion carried: 5 -0.
