A COMMON COUNCIL RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE ACHIEVEMENTS
^ OF THE GREENCASTLE LIONS CLUB IN SUPPORTING PROGRAMS
TO FOSTER A DRUG AND ALCOHOL FREE YOUTH
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Lions Club has demonstrated its
concern for Putnam County youth; and
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Lions Club has assisted
Greencastle Community Schools and South Putnam Community
Schools in adoption of the "Skills for Adolescence" Program;
and
WHEREAS, this project is an active program for developing
adolescent skills and part of that program works with
children, teachers, and parents in examining the dangers of
drug and alcohol abuse; and
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Lions Club has aided in funding
the "Skills for Adolescence" Program and has offered Putnam
County resources in helping develop the formation of other
like programs in the Putnam County Schools.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Greencastle
^ Common Council, on behalf of the people of the City of
Greencastle, do hereby say Thank You for the continued support
of the "Skills for Adolescence" Program and continued
commitment to make Greencastle and Putnam County a better
place for all of us to live.
PASSED and RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle this 14th day of March, 1989.
