There being no further business on motion of Mr. Taplin,seconded by Mr. Villeneuve, the meeting was adjourned at 12:05 P.M, ATTEST: Village Clerk November 30, 1974 Mayor De"mbec M, 1974 } The Council of Bal Harbour Village met Saturday, December 28, 1974 it 9:30 A.M. in the Village Hall. Present: Messrs. Beatty, Brush, Printup,and Villeneuve Absent: Mr. Taplin Also present were Fred W. Maley, Vill=age Manager; Mary T. Wetterer, VillaF, Clerk; ant? ':h=is H. The Nayc;r told th ;,•e? present that Mr. Stanley `.dhitman ;tnd asked for a postponement of his request for a variance for .o parking garage in order to com ?17 with the request of the Village for proper plans and specifications. 11e residents present expressed their opinions that the proposed parking garage would he a detriment to the community. The Mayor told the effected property ownere; present that they would be nc,tified of the time of the next variance hearing for Mr. Whitman. ORLINAMCS No. 172 adopting a Cede of Ordinances for the Village was read by title for final reading, having been advertised on November 15, 1974, a copy of the notice is attached, and read in full on November 30, 1974. On motion of Mr. Villeneuve, seconded by Mr. Beatty and unanimously voted the Ordinance was adopted. Mr. James Reeves, Village ?ngfiieer, outlined the rough cost estimates of improvements to the residential district as requested. He submitted figures of $230,600. for new storm sewers; $56,125. for repairin;; oud adding to the present storm sewers; $93,508, for repavini; cf the streets; and $125,000. for upgradint, the lighting system using; the present standards and hr:+ckets. Anderson read a letter from the attorrev for Stan&.x-d Dredfing Company in which they offered a settlement e.S 5% of the original defaulted contract in the »mount of $154,887,40. After discussion it was moved by Mr. Villeneuve, seconded by Mr. 3ruch and unanimously voted that the Villaon Attnrney would lie .authorized to a;t.er.t the settlement as stated. The Village Clerk read ORDINANCE No. 173 setting new parking rates for the Lots in Block I and ender Baker's 11au1r,Ver Bridge.
