MEETING: Public Arts Committee Regular Meeting

Board: Ken Bell, Francie deVos, John Flacke, Shelly Madsen, Kristi Martens,
Ernie Roybal, Eric Vandernail and Laura Veenstra
Staff: Town Manager Jeff Durbin; Asst. Town Manager Bektur Sakiev

1. Regular Meeting: Roll Call
Vice-Chairperson Flacke called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
2. Approval of Agenda:
Vice-Chairperson asked if there were any additions or changes to the agenda.
3. Consent Agenda:
a) Minutes – July 22, 2016 and August 8, 2016
Madsen moved, and deVos seconded the motion to approve the consent agenda.
Motion carried: 8-0.
4. Discussion: Sakiev presented research and other community programs and policies as
requested at the prior meeting. The Committee asked staff to prepare a Fraser Arts
Program based on these examples to be discussed at the next meeting.
5. Open Forum: The committee discussed arts marketing programs in other communities.
6. Other Business:
deVos moved, and Vandernail seconded the motion to adjourn. Motion carried: 8-0.
Meeting adjourned at 10:30 a.m.
