MEETING: Public Arts Committee Regular Meeting

Roybal, Eric Vandernail, Laura Veenstra
Staff: Town Manager Jeff Durbin; Town Clerk, Antoinette McVeigh

1. Regular Meeting: Roll Call
Chairperson Flacke called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m.
2. Approval of Agenda:
DeVos moved, and Ball seconded the motion to approve the Agenda. Motion carried:
8-0.
3. Consent Agenda:
a) Minutes – December 16, 2016
DeVoss moved, and Ball seconded the motion to approve the consent agenda. Motion
carried: 8-0.
4. Discussion
a) Strategic Plan and/or 2017 Work Plan
The committee discussed this is a 5-10 year downtown long term plan to help
implement the arts.
b) Colorado Creative District Certification Letter of Intent
It was discussed how the committee can use art as an economic driver.
We the PAC believe the Town of Fraser is doing a lot with the arts, we believe
Fraser is a creative community, and we believe the town should submit an
application for a letter of intent to become a creative district. We are committed to
supporting this program.
Klancke moved to submit a certification letter of interest to Colorado Creative
District, seconded the motion by deVoss. Motion carried 8-0.

c) Bus Shelter Design Contest
Flack moved to create a contest for the Bus Shelter Design Contest Roybal
seconded the motion. Motion carried 8-0.
deVoss moved to have the contest pay $250 to the winner Veenstra seconded the
motion. Motion carried 7-1 with Flacke ney

Veenstra moved, and Ball seconded the motion to adjourn. Motion carried:8 -0.
