01/ A GREENCASTLE COMMON COUNCIL RESOLUTION
SUPPORTING THE EFFORTS OF
PUTNAM COUNTY EXTENSION HOMEMAKERS
TO MAKE 1989-1990 NEW YEAR A SAFE HOLIDAY
WHEREAS, the Putnam County Extension Homemakers Club is
distributing Red Ribbons, to be displayed on vehicles to
emphasize a safe and alcohol free driving period this holiday
season and;
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Common Council is concerned
about the possibility of injury and death to its fellow
Greencastle Citizens and;
WHEREAS, the Greencastle Common Council does hereby
support the use of the Greencastle Police Department as an
emergency transportation service on Christmas and New Years
Eve to Greencastle City residents to their residence, who have
been drinking, in order to help encourage and support alcohol
free driving for this holiday season.
PASSED AND RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
410 Greencastle at its regular meeting this 12th day of December,
1989.
