APPROVING APPROPRIATION OF $2,300 TO FISCAL YEAR
2024 FROM THE VISIT LOUDOUN TOURISM MARKETING
LEVERAGE FUND GRANT
WHEREAS, Visit Loudoun has an established Marketing Leverage matching funds
Grant program that extends the reach of the tourism industry, attracts visitors, and increases
visitor spending through partnerships and leveraged funds; and
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Department of Economic Development applied for, and was
awarded a $2,300 grant through this program in 2023 to update the design and print Leesburg's
Visitor Guide: and
WHEREAS, this project supports tourism strategies identified in the Leesburg
Economic Development and Tourism Strategic Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Economic Development recommends approving this
appropriation.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
1. A supplemental appropriation is hereby made to the Leesburg Economic
Development Department's General Fund Budget for fiscal year beginning July 1,
2023, and ending June 30, 2024 in the amount of $2,300 from the Visit Loudoun
Tourism Marketing Fund. Any unused appropriation may be carried over to the
subsequent fiscal year.
