••^•• A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO THE
INDIANA RECYCLING GRANTS PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Indiana Department of Environmental
Management and the Indiana Department of Commerce has
established the Indiana Recycling Grants Program to help local
governmental units establish recycling programs which will
meet their specific needs; and
WHEREAS, there is a need for additional funds to assist
the City of Greencastle in establishing a curbside recycling
program; and
WHEREAS, the maximum grant award will be 50% of the
project cost, up to a maximum of $20,000.00 with a minimum 50%
local match required.
NOW THEREFORE, we, the Common Council of the City of
Greencastle endorse the objective of seeking a grant from the
Indiana Recycling Grants Program and do hereby approve of the
City of Greencastle's application for a grant to purchase
III containers for curbside recycling and will cooperate in
seeking this objective.
