HomeMy Public PortalAbout07-1990-7 RESOLUTION NO. 1990-7 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT FUNDS FOR THE SOUTHERN HIGHWAY PROJECT WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle in the State of Indiana, by and through the Indiana Department of Transportation, is now undertaking the relocation, improvement and construction of a certain highway extending in a northeasterly direction from Manhattan Road (Jackson Street) to State Road 240 (Indianapolis Road) in Putnam County, which highway is designated in the files of the Indiana Department of Transportation as Project #MQ-108(1) . WHEREAS, the City of Greencastle is obligated to provide twenty- five percent (25%) of the project cost as well as additional project costs; and WHEREAS, it is necessary that an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) be appropriated from the Industrial Development Fund in order to provide additional local match for the Southern Highway Project and such additional project costs as must be paid; and WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Commission for Industrial Development has consented to the expenditure of a maximum of Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) for the Southern Highway Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle that an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) be appropriated from the Industrial Development Fund in order to provide part of the local match for the Southern Highway Project and other project costs not funded, with any unused funds reverting to the Industrial Development Fund.
