A RESOLUTION SETTING VEHICLE MILEAGE AND MEAL ALLOWANCE FOR TRAVEL
WHEREAS, Resolution 84-02 is repealed, the Governing Body of the
City of Moab finds that the mileage allowance for vehicle use and meal
allowance should be increased; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Moab City Council, that the reimbursement
rate for the use of a personal vehicle and meal allowance for travel
for Moab City employees shall be as follows:
1. Personal cars may be used if adjudged economical or
advantageous to the City. When a personal car is used for
long trips, the City's reimbursement for the use of the car,
plus meals and lodging required enroute, shall not exceed the
cost of tourist class air fare. Reimbursement for personal
car shall be at the rate of twenty-five cents ($.25) per
mile.
2. Meal costs for meals during travel shall be reimbursed with
receipts.
PASSED AND APPROVED in open council by a majority of the Governing
Body of Moab City Council this 7th day of August, 1990.
