"ALCOHOL BEVERAGES"
OF THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERE r
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the borough þf Carteret (the
"Borough") that the Code of the Borough us hereby amended and upplemented as
follows
Section 1
§71-17. "Hours of Sale and Consumption" is her by amended and
supplemented to include the following new Parag aph B to replace
the existing said paragraph'
B. On Saturday's, no alcoholic beverages may be sold, served,
delivered to or consumed in the licenses prem ses between the
hours of3:00 a.m and 600 a.m On Sunday which does not rall on
a major holiday, no alcoholic beverages may be sold, served,
delivered to or consumed in the licenses pren ises between the
hours of 3:00 a.m and 10:00 a.m On New Ye,'-s Day, when the
same falls on a weekday or Saturday. no alcoho ic beverages may
be sold, served, delivered to or consumed in the licenses premises
between the hours of 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. 0 New Years Day,
when the same falls on a Sunday, no a.!eoholic þeverages may be
sold, served, delivered to or consumed in the licenses premises
between the hours of 400 a.m and 1000 a.m
Section 2
§71-12. "Transfer of license" is hereby amended and supplemented
to a:dd the following new Paragraph F thereto
F. The provisions of Subsection A and B of thi section shall also
not apply should the Borough Council act to , aive the aforesaid
provisions.
Section 3
All ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent wi h the provision of
this ordinance are hereby repealed limited to th extent nf any such
inconsistency
Section 4
If any section, paragraph, sub-division, clause Dr provisioQ of this
ordinance is adjudged invalid, such adjudicatio shall apply only to
the section, paragraph, sub-division, claus< or provISion so
adjudged and the remainder of this ordinancþ shall be deemed
valid and effective
Section 5
This ordinance shall take effect upon its pass ge and publication
according to applicable law
