introduced the following
RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE
OF BONDS FOR MUNICIPAL BUILDINGS AND
CALLING AN ELECTION
WHEREAS, this council has under consideration the construction
of a village garage and village hall, and
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that such improvements be
financed by the issuance of general obligation bonds of the
village, and
WHEREAS, the issuance of such bonds will require the submission
of the question of their issuance to a vote of the electorate,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the
Village of Medina, Minnesota, as follows:
1. It is hereby determined that it is necessary and expedient
to issue bonds to provide money for the acquisition and
betterment of municipal buildings.
2. The question of the issuance of bonds for such purposes
shall be submitted to the voters of the village at a special
election to be held June 14,1973. The polls shall be open from
wo' clock A.M. to 1 � 6po' clock P.M.
3. The Village Clerk is authorized and directed to cause
printed ballots to be prepared for use at said election,
in which the proposition shall be stated in substantially the following
form:

INSTRUCTIONS TO VOTERS: All voters desiring to vote in favor of the
foregoing proposition shall make a cross mark (x) in the square before
the word YES. Voters desiring to vote against the foregoing
proposition shall make a cross mark (x) in the square before the word
NO.
4. The Village Clerk shall cause notice of said election to be
given as required by law, by publication in the official
newspaper of the village once each week for at least two weeks prior
to said election and by posting in at least three public and conspicuous
places in the village at least ten days prior to said election.
5. The election shall be held at the usual voting places for
village elections and the following shall act as judges:

6. The election shall be held and conducted in accordance with
the statutes of the State of Minnesota applicable to village
elections, and the council shall meet after closing of the polls for
the purpose of canvassing said election and declaring the results
thereof.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution
was duly seconded by Councilman and upon vote being
taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:

I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified and acting Clerk
of the Village of Medina, Minnesota, hereby certify that I have
carefully combed the attached and foregoing extract of minutes
of a meeting of the Village Council of said village
held May 7, 1973, with the original thereof on file in my office,
and the same is a full, true and complete transcript therefrom
insofar as the same relates to the issuance and sale of general
obligation bonds of the village.
